For seven brutal years, Jakob endures agonizing lessons in the dark art of fleshcrafting before being unleashed upon the city with a single directive: create a being to surpass Grandfather’s greatest work. Armed only with his grotesque skills, a stitched-together robe, and the wight Heskel, Jakob navigates a civilization as alien to him as sunlight. He carves monsters from living flesh, evades the kingdom’s vengeful justice, and bargains with demons and eldritch horrors. The Adventurers’ Guild becomes both shield and hunting ground as he pursues forbidden knowledge. Those who mistake him for a helpless child learn the cost of their arrogance—often in screams.
